Review: Zosia – Overthrown

Overthrown is the latest release from Los Angeles based artist Zosia. Overthrown is about Zosia’s frustration at how sexual assault victims are handled, this is mirrored the way the track opens. The use of the vocal effects and poignant lyrics invites you to listen carefully to what she has to say. As the track progresses it feels like Zosia unleashes her frustration “If you’re not my hero, I’ll find my own way home”.

Overthrown is an emotionally charged track,  Zosia has an incredible voice and a good understanding of how to fit the lyrics to the music which suits the subject matter well.

Zosia is a promising artist and I’m looking forward to her next release.
